The Comm Event screen (“User» Communications”) organizes communications that have been recorded by the system. In principal it is possible to set-up the system, so that a large range of communication is stored in the database. This includes incoming emails, faxes and calls. This is particularly useful for call centers, who want to streamline the communication process with individual customers.

User Import / Export

The Import/Export screen (“User » Import/Export”) is a quick and easy way to create and export user-accounts. The tool relies on CSV files (comma-seperated files).

Invitations

The system can be used to send out “invitations” (“User » Invitations”) to external parties. This concept is sometimes used by online shops, who allow users to notify their friends of great sales, or want to invite a party to a specific event. Each invitaiton can have one of the following attributes:

User From (Sender)
User Id (Sender PartyId)
To Name (Plain Text field)
Email Address
Status
- Invitation Accepted
- Invitation Cancelled
- Invitation Declined
- Invitation Pending
- Invitation Sent
Last Invite Date

Once created, an order can be created from the invitation or a role assigned to the newly invited user.

Logged-in Users

As the name may suggest, the “Logged-in Users” (“User » Logged-in Users”) screen, displays a list of all parties, currently authenticated with the system and their respective IP. This can be quite helpful in a scenario, where a customer calls the call center agent, and asks for support on a particular issue. As long as the customer can provide the call center agent with a userLoginId (his login information), then the agent can look up specific account details, or even create an order for him.

My Communications

“My Communications” (“User » Import/Export”) lists all of the communication events that are assigned to the currently authenticated user. All communication details can be accessed by clicking on the “subject” name.

Parties

The parties screen (“User » Parties”) is the central place to organize all things related to user accounts. There is a fine distinction within the system between “Parties” and “UsersLogins”, which is that parties are comparable to real life bodies and userlogins are the authentication of one on the system. There are different types of parties:

persons
customers
employees
prospects (potential employees)
user-groups, which work as a container for the other types

User groups are often used for companies, business units or teams inside of a company. All of the different types share a set of common characteristics. But we are getting ahead of ourselves. So let’s take a look at the main parties screen first: The “Show Lookup fields” button, will open up a search form, which can be used to find specific parties.

Security

The security screen, accessible through “User » Security”, gives easy access to user account information. It is most often used to modify a user-account or reset a password. It is possible to modify individual user-accounts as well as user-groups.

The screen is shared with the “Admin” component, where it is used for administrators to look-up critical user information quickly.

Visits

The “Visits” screen (“User» Visits”) displays a comprehensive list of requests according to the web-application and assigns a userId, if the user has authenticated with the system. The additional search form allows you to search for specific criteria, as it is often needed when one wants to figure out the request flow of a specific party, their request history or alike. Though the data itself is most often exported for external analysis, it is sometimes useful to identify the request-flow of a specific user.
