Page Template

A page in Scipio is a combination of an underlying template and content (text, images, videos etc.) that are associated with a specific web url. The template itself can contain predefined assets, small sections of html, so that it is possible to create very complexe page layouts.

The Page Templates are compatible with Widgets & our templating toolkit. The largest difference between widgets and page templates is that Widgets are predefined in the source code, whereas page templates can be created on the fly directly on the system. In fact, all templates (assets & pages), the content they contain and media files can be controlled through the CMS interface. It is even possible to define the UI elements an editor should see for a page and to add groovy scripts to each template.

The templates (“CMS » Templates”) section allows the creation and management of:

  1. Asset Templates
  2. Page Templates
  3. Scripts
